Wie alljährlich haben auch dieses Jahr angehende TechnikerInnen der HTL Zeltweg ihr Können in der Fremdsprache Englisch unter Beweis gestellt.
Am 7.März machten sich 8 SchülerInnen auf den Weg nach Graz zu einer mehrstündigen Überprüfung ihrer Englischkenntnisse im WIFI , um dort ein internationales Sprachenzertifikat zu erwerben. Alle 8 KandidatInnen haben mit Bravour bestanden und 4 von ihnen konnten mit grade A beweisen, dass sie bereits auf dem nächsthöheren Sprachlevel sind, auf C1. Dies bedeutet, ihre Sprachkompetenzen in Englisch sind bereits über Maturaniveau.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zu all diesen hervorragenden Leistungen. Ihr habt mit Fleiß, Einsatz und Durchhaltevermögen einen weiteren Grundstein für eure Zukunft gelegt.

SOME THOUGHTS OF OUR DEGREE HOLDERS
On the way to Graz, Nina and I did some last-minute studying. At WIFI, we felt nervous as we
worked through each part of the exam. The Speaking Test was the final challenge. Even though
we weren’t paired, we both gave our best.
When we left the WIFI we felt so relieved. To celebrate we went bar- hopping in Graz, enjoying drinks, laughter and the relief of being done. A perfect end to an intense day.

The FCE course has significantly improved my English, and the final exam highlighted both my strengths and weaknesses, while opening up new career opportunities.

The FCE exam in Graz had surprisingly strict security measures to prevent cheating, including rigorous ID checks and special seating arrangements. Additionally, an examiner from Cambridge was present to oversee the exam and ensure a fair process.

On March 7, I took the Cambridge First Certificate exam and proved my skills successfully – hard work and dedication truly pay off and this achievement motivates me for future events.
